Super Visa
The Super Visa is a temporary resident visa letting parents and grandparents of Canadians visit for stays up to 5 years per entry, with a 2-year in-Canada extension available.
Needs $100,000+ CAD medical insurance valid 1+ year (Canadian insurer, or OSFI-authorized foreign insurer since Jan 28, 2025), proof the host meets an income threshold (met via either of the 2 prior tax years as of 2026), and a medical exam. Doesn't grant PR, but enables extended family reunification while PGP sponsorship intake is paused/limited.
