MPNP 2026: Manitoba Streams, EOI Draws & 8,000 Quota
The MPNP has three streams — Skilled Worker (SWM/SWO), International Education (CEP/GIP) and Business Investor (EP) — and every applicant needs a connection to Manitoba: ongoing employment, family or friends, past study or work, or a direct Invitation to Apply. Manitoba's 2026 nomination allocation is 8,000 — 6,239 granted in January 2026 plus 1,761 more in August 2026. Draws run roughly every two weeks and mostly target people already working in Manitoba, Manitoba graduates, French speakers, and candidates invited under named Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Manitoba's 2026 PNP allocation?
8,000 nominations: 6,239 allocated in January 2026 and 1,761 more in August 2026. This is up sharply from the 4,750 allocated in January 2025.
Does Manitoba have a dedicated Express Entry stream?
No. MPNP has no stream formally called 'Express Entry'. Instead, Manitoba counts nominations to candidates who also hold a valid federal EE profile as 'enhanced' nominations, which get the federal +600 CRS points.
What changed for the Career Employment Pathway (CEP) in June 2026?
On June 11, 2026, Manitoba began moving CEP candidates who have 6+ months of Manitoba work experience into the Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) pathway, where draws now prioritize them.
What is the Manitoba Workforce Transition Bridge Temporary Public Policy?
Announced August 5, 2026, it lets people who already received support letters under the 2024/2025 Temporary Public Policy extend their nomination deadline to December 31, 2027. It is not open to new candidates.
Do I need a job offer to apply to the MPNP?
It depends on the pathway. Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) requires ongoing Manitoba employment and a long-term job offer. Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) does not require a job offer but does require a documented Manitoba connection.
