NLPNP 2026: NL Streams, EOI Model & Recent ITAs
The NLPNP has five categories — Express Entry Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker, International Graduate, International Entrepreneur and International Graduate Entrepreneur — and since February 2025 every NLPNP and Atlantic Immigration Program application starts with an Expression of Interest in the Immigration Accelerator portal. Between March 6 and October 9, 2026, 17 rounds issued 2,826 Invitations to Apply (2,430 NLPNP, 396 AIP), and applicants currently have 30 days to apply after an ITA, temporarily reduced from 60 days.

What changed in 2026
Since February 2025, every NLPNP and AIP application starts with an Expression of Interest in the Immigration Accelerator portal. EOI prioritization criteria were updated March 23, 2026. The post-ITA application deadline was temporarily reduced from 60 to 30 days.

NLPNP Express Entry Skilled Worker
For highly skilled applicants already in IRCC's Express Entry pool.
In the EE pool; full-time job offer in TEER 0–3; valid work permit or authorization to work; Canadian post-secondary credential or valid ECA; at least 67 points on the NLPNP Point Assessment Grid; settlement funds; age 21–59; offer of 30+ hrs/week for at least 1 year.
Job offer requiredNLPNP Skilled Worker
For skilled workers with a full-time NL job offer.
Full-time offer in any TEER; relevant qualifications; settlement funds; language test required for TEER 4 and 5; cannot hold a PGWP; age 21–59.
Job offer requiredNLPNP International Graduate
For international graduates holding a valid PGWP.
PGWP with at least 4 months left; full-time offer in TEER 0–3 (or TEER 4 if in demand) related to field of study; out-of-province graduates must work in NL 1 year first; language test for TEER 4.
Job offer requiredInternational Entrepreneur
For experienced business owners or senior managers.
Age 21–59; $600,000 CAD in transferable assets; invest at least $200,000 for 33.3%+ ownership (or $1M in equity); create at least 1 full-time job; 2+ years of ownership/management in the last 5 years or 5+ years of senior management in the last 10; CLB 5; exploratory visit required.
No job offer requiredInternational Graduate Entrepreneur
For Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic graduates running a local business.
Age 21+; 2+ year full-time in-person degree/diploma completed within the last 2 years; valid PGWP; own at least 33.3% and actively manage the business for 1 full year; create at least 1 full-time job; CLB 7.

- 1. Get a job or job offer from an eligible NL employer (a Job Vacancy Assessment may be required).
- 2. Submit an EOI in the Immigration Accelerator portal; EOIs expire after 12 months.
- 3. OIM reviews the pool and issues Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in batches, guided by published prioritization criteria — it says this is not a lottery.
- 4. Submit the full application within 30 days of the ITA (temporarily reduced from 60 days); no ITA extensions are granted.
- 5. If nominated, apply to IRCC for PR (via Express Entry for the EE category, or the non-EE PNP process otherwise).

No. The current NLPNP overview lists five categories with no 'Priority Skills NL' stream. Treat that name as outdated.
How long do I have to apply after an NLPNP Invitation to Apply?
30 days, temporarily reduced from the usual 60 days. OIM does not grant ITA extensions.
What is Newfoundland and Labrador's 2026 PNP allocation?
Not officially published. No gov.nl.ca page or 2026 news release states a 2026 NLPNP or combined NLPNP+AIP allocation figure.
Do all NLPNP worker streams require a job offer?
Yes. Express Entry Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker, and International Graduate all require a full-time job offer from an eligible NL employer.
