NTNP 2026: NWT Nominee EOI Draws & Allocation
Since March 9, 2026, the NTNP's Employer-Driven Stream (Skilled Worker, Entry Level/Semi-Skilled, and NWT Express Entry) uses a new Expression of Interest ranking system with scheduled draws, while the Francophone and Business streams remain first-come, first-served. IRCC first set the territory's 2026 allocation at 197, then raised it by 103 on August 7, 2026 to 300, restoring 2024–2025 levels; four 2026 Employer-Driven draws issued 353 invitations in total.

For TEER 0–3 jobs needing formal education or training; employer-driven with a 2026 EOI ranking system.
Job offer from an NWT employer; 1 year of full-time experience in the last 10 years in the same/similar occupation; valid work permit; CLB 6 (TEER 0/1) or CLB 5 (TEER 2/3); employer registers, then the worker submits an EOI.

For TEER 4–5 jobs; employer-driven with a 2026 EOI ranking system.
Worked full-time in the same position with the employer for 12 months; valid work permit; CLB 4; EOI required.

For skilled workers in IRCC's Express Entry pool, TEER 0–3; employer-driven with a 2026 EOI ranking system.
In the EE pool with a Job Seeker Validation Code; valid NWT job offer; valid work permit; 1 year of full-time experience in the last 10 years; required certification; CLB 7 (TEER 0/1) or CLB 5 (TEER 2/3); not a refugee claimant. Nominees receive 600 points in Express Entry.

$200,000 equity and $500,000 net worth in Yellowknife, or $100,000/$250,000 outside it; at least 33.3% ownership unless $1M+ is invested; CLB 4; exploratory visit and interview; 2-year Business Performance Agreement before nomination.

- 1. Get a valid, full-time, permanent job offer from an NWT employer; the employer registers in the NTNP online portal.
- 2. Using the employer's login, the worker completes the EOI survey (one active EOI per person, in the pool for up to 12 months).
- 3. The GNWT ranks profiles and invites employers of the top-scoring candidates in scheduled draws.
- 4. Invited employers submit the full application; on approval, the GNWT nominates the worker, who applies to IRCC.
- 5. Francophone and Business streams apply directly, first-come, first-served, with no EOI.
