Expression of Interest (EOI)
An EOI is a system some PNPs and Quebec's PSTQ use where a candidate submits a short profile, is scored, and only top-ranked candidates are invited to apply in full.
EOI systems (such as Quebec's Arrima) avoid processing every applicant's full documentation up front; exact scoring, invitation frequency, and thresholds vary by jurisdiction — check each program's own official page.
Some details in this definition are flagged internally for a follow-up fact-check against the primary IRCC/provincial source; the text above is written conservatively pending that review.
