Biometrics
Biometrics (fingerprints and a photo) are mandatory for most immigration and temporary-residence applications, collected at a Visa Application Centre and paid separately from the application fee.
Pay the $85 CAD fee online with the application fee, then visit a VAC within 30 days of the instruction letter with passport in hand. Families pay a max combined $170 CAD; children under 14 are exempt.
