Open Work Permit (OWP)
An open work permit lets the holder work for almost any employer without needing a specific job offer or LMIA, unlike a closed (employer-specific) permit.
CUAET permits are a well-known example; others include spousal OWPs, PGWPs, BOWPs, and IEC permits. Holders still need valid overall status and must follow any conditions printed on the permit.
