Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
A PGWP is an open work permit letting international students work for most employers after completing an eligible program at a Designated Learning Institution.
Length depends on program length and institution eligibility — verify current field-of-study restrictions on IRCC's page. One year (1,560 hours) on a PGWP in a TEER 0-3 job counts toward CEC eligibility.
Some details in this definition are flagged internally for a follow-up fact-check against the primary IRCC/provincial source; the text above is written conservatively pending that review.
