Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB)

CLB is a 1-12 scale converting English test results (IELTS, CELPIP) into the standard IRCC uses across all immigration programs.

Each of 4 abilities gets its own CLB level; points scale sharply — a first language earns 34 points/ability at CLB 10 but only 9 at CLB 6, so CLB 6→7 across all abilities adds 32 CRS points.
